Evening food
From our kitchen
Our kitchen is open all evenings for food except for Wednesdays when the kitchen is closed. All orders need to be placed by noon on that day you want to dine, ideally pre-ordered when you book and is served from 6 to 7:30pm.
This allows for a cosy stress-free night in at Piglets with no taxis, our honour bar on hand and bed just a few steps away!
Depending on the weather evening meals will be served either in our upstairs dining room or al-fresco on our Mediterranean style patio.
If we have a large number of pizza orders then we will fire up our magnificent wood-fired pizza oven (weather permitting).
OUR PIZZAS: 12” Stone baked Roma style thin pizzas (our bases are made by a three times winner of the World Pizza Championships in Napoli) with fior di latte mozzarella & tomato and herb base from Emilia Romagna.
OUR SHARING DELI PLATTERS: A great sharing platter for two with a wide range of deli delights, served with bread rolls & Yorkshire Jersey butter.
ANTIPASTO: Ideal as either a starter or for those wanting a light bite.
INSALATE: Supper salads as mains or on the side.
PASTA: Classic linguine dishes served with freshly grated parmesan Reggiano. With Chrissie being half Italian you can look forward to her nonna’s recipes.
SAVORIES: British classics to share as a savoury between mains and dessert or as a starter to share or hog to yourself!
DOLCE (Desserts): Treat yourself to a pud to finish your evening meal at Piglets.
HOME-MADE LIMONCELLO or GINELLO: A Piglets’ speciality created by Max with none of the nasty colourings or preservatives commercially for tourists visiting Italy. This just has three ingredients: sugar, alcohol and lemons! A great way to finish your evening off.

Our menu is marked ‘V’ for vegetarian, ‘Vg’ for vegan and ‘GF’ for gluten free.
If you don’t see it, we might have it or be able to get it in for you, so please ask.
A note on what's available to you outside Piglets...
Here at our rural country location, there are a few things that might come as a surprise to those of you who are more used to urban life where dining opportunities abound and taxis are available at a snap of one’s fingers or a click on an app…things don’t quite work this way around here, which is one of the lovely things guests like about visiting Piglets, however it can be a little frustrating at times…let us explain; you are probably unlikely to find many pubs/restaurants open on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday evening for food. And if you don’t book in advance, getting into your favoured pub or restaurant on a Friday/Saturday night or for Sunday lunch might prove difficult plus local taxis’ are often all booked up well in advance (BTW there is no Uber here).
