During the year there are many events going on which makes Piglets an ideal base. Be it the very popular summer concerts at Audley End House to all the goings on at Duxford Imperial War Museum or the more traditional annual offering of Thaxted’s Morris Weekend, not forgetting of course those more personal annual milestones such as Mother’s Day, Easter and the British Bank Holidays a plenty.

I stayed just 1 night at Piglets, prior to a day at Duxford. The rooms and environment are fabulous a real credit to Chrissie and Max who offered a very warm welcome.

Thaxted Morris men hankie waving outside the Swann Hotel just 10 mins Thaxted's huge parish church dominates the town which is just 10 mins from Piglets Boutique Country Stay
It was hard to force ourselves to leave at all during our stay, but we did manage trips into the local towns Saffron Walden and Thaxted, both really nice places.

Father's day at Piglets or Godfather's day using picture of Marlon Brando to illustrate
Ten of us came to celebrate a 100th birthday and Piglets was all that it said on the tin and a great deal more. Thank you to Chrissie and Max for a perfect stay and for putting up with all our individual quirks and coping with all our wishes!
