Breakfast is of course central to our B&B and here we use local suppliers as much as possible unless there are special products which are only available further afield such as our award winning smoked salmon and black pudding.

The usual full English is available (plus a vegetarian/vegan version) along with healthy options such as avocado on sourdough but dishes using our fantastic specially smoked salmon appears with either lightly scrambled eggs or on bagels with cream cheese.  Alternatively try our eggs benedict, royale or florentine.

Chrissie makes her own granola and marmalade – help yourself from the buffet table along with juices, cereals, yogurt and preserves while you make your choice from our menu.

Fruit salads are made to order rather than a tired looking bowl on the buffet table. Or choose from pancakes or waffles with maple syrup and fruit or bacon (whipped cream, optional), omelettes or boiled eggs with sourdough soldiers.

We have a wide selection of wonderful teas from Birchalls and our coffee of choice from Lavazza makes a great cafetière, cappuccino, latte or espresso.

We do try to cater for anyone with intolerances or vegetarian or vegan diets and have tried to make and find interesting alternatives to the above.
